Location & Details

Getting Here

The Brisbane Club sits at 241 Adelaide Street, on the edge of Anzac Square and looking across to the heritage-listed GPO. We have been on this corner since 1903.

Arriving by car

The closest car parks are Cornerstone Parking at No.1 Anzac Square and Post Office Square Car Park, both a short walk from our entrance.

Arriving on foot or by public transport

Central Station is a short walk through Anzac Square, and the Adelaide Street bus stops are directly outside our door.

Finding the entrance

Our entrance is on Adelaide Street, marked by the Club crest. Reception is just inside, and someone will be there to greet you and take you through.

Accessibility

Our ground floor entrance at 241 Adelaide Street offers step-free access, and our internal lift serves every floor of the Club. Accessible bathroom facilities are easily reached by the same lift. If there is anything else we can do to make your visit comfortable, please call us on 07 3222 8700 before you come. We would much rather know in advance.

Dress Code

Dress standards are an important part of club life. Members and guests are expected to be appropriately attired at all times, in keeping with the character of the Club.

Your First Visit

If you have not been to the Club before, here is everything you might like to know before you arrive. Anything we have not covered, please ring us on 07 3222 8700. We would always rather you asked.

What to wear

We ask Members and their guests to be appropriately dressed at all times. In short: business dress through the Club, with a jacket required in the Members Dining Room, and a smart casual standard applying in the Lounge, Bar and Cellar on Fridays. The full dress code is here, and if you are unsure about a particular occasion, do ask.

Calls and laptops

A quick, discreet call in the Members Lounge or Bar is perfectly acceptable. For anything longer, we have a business centre and a telephone booth, both a good deal more comfortable than a corner of the room.

When you arrive

Come to reception and let us know who you are meeting. We will let them know you are here and take you through. There is no need to sign in anywhere else or find your own way.

If you are the guest of a Member

Guests are very welcome at the Club, accompanied by the Member hosting them. Your host will meet you at reception, and from that point you are in their care for the visit. If you happen to arrive first, reception will look after you until they appear.
